My etchings are really drawings, mostly drawn directly from the subject, to find out how I see and feel about something, how it is.
Although I am happy drawing trees, buildings, people, much of my work is of babies. I have made use of my grandchildren, especially when they are few days old: the screwed up look is wonderful. Later, when they do not keep so still sketches and a camera are useful.
