My Graphics background influenced my early work, using photocopies to enlarge and modify the textures, shapes and colours of the images.
I now work almost exclusively in aquatints for the range of contrast and detail they can give, and for the velvety texture achievable by over-printing colours using multiple plates. Vibrant colours add strength to the images and heighten their surreal qualities.
