She came from Jindaiji, Tokyo, Japan, a spot of a Japanese temple to the water god. She finds England a dry place to live. Her work shows the search for a more moist atmosphere. She has been awarded Printmaking Prizes in Tokyo (1982 & 83), in Royal College of Art in London (1989) and in Royal Academy of Arts in London (1997). Her work is exhibited in galleries throughout the U.K. and in many private, public and corporate collections including the New York Public Library.
